Tony Bennett
  Tony started his dance career aged 9 and began competing at 11; he rose through the ranks to become a champion in both Ballroom and Latin American Dance.He turned professional aged 25, and partnered by his wife, Judith, he travelled extensively. Back in the UK; he competed in the original Come Dancing series for 5 years.

Tony and Judith established City-Limits Dancentre 30 years ago to encourage young people (and those not so young!) to learn to enjoy dance. Tony is a fully qualified adjudicator in both Ballroom and Latin dance and is a member of the International Dance Teachers Association. He travels the world extensively lecturing and adjudicating.


Judith Bennett
Judith began dancing at the age of 6, and her talent for Ballroom and Latin American dancing quickly led to her winning several juvenile championships. Success followed in professional competitions and Judith, with her husband Tony, appeared several times in the original series of Come Dancing on the BBC.

 Judith is a qualified teacher and adjudicator in Ballroom and Latin dance to international standards and currently teaches dance, keep fit and yogalates at City-Limits. She provides one-to-one sessions, offering tailored programmes to suit individual needs and specialises in promoting weight loss and increased fitness

Dale Bennett

Dale started dancing at the age of 6 at his father’s dance school.
His career quickly gained momentum and at the age of 11, he became the International Juvenile Champion in Ballroom and Latin dance and represented England in the World and European Championships.

At 19 Dale moved to Denmark to continue his career, which saw him win the Danish National Championship and the Open Scandinavian 10 Dance Championships, as well as achieving 3rd position in the Open British Championships.

Dale retired from full time competitive dancing at the age of 22 due to injury and then moved to the USA, where he spent a number of years travelling, teaching and adjudicating international competitions.

In 2007, when his father, Tony, moved City-Limits to its present location, Dale decided to come back from the USA to become involved in the day-to-day running of the business and to support the launch of the new studio. Since that time, Dale has continued to teach at City-Limits and has become one of the UK’s leading competitive adjudicators. He also coaches many of the top ballroom and latin couples in the country and has consulted on various TV shows, most recently ITV’s ‘Born-To-Shine.’
