Ruth Estrella-Pinto
Head Of Ballet
Ruth has been teaching at City Limits for over 25 years. She is a qualified and registered teacher with both the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the International Dance Teachers’ Association (IDTA), entering students for ballet and tap exams.
She started dancing at the age of 6, with an ambition to teach dance since her teens. She trained with the Thompson School in Rotherham, where she first qualified as a teacher with the British Ballet Organization (BBO). Following a short period gaining experience as a professional dancer, she went on to study Performing Arts at Leicester Polytechnic (now De Montford University), gaining BA (Hons) 2.1. Subsequent training has led to further teaching qualifications with the RAD and IDTA. After spending a short period of time overseas, she settled in Sheffield, where she has been teaching children and adults for over 35 years.
Rebecca Squires
Head of Street & Fitness
Since the age of 3, Becky has danced many different styles including Ballet, tap, salsa, Latin & street dance.
Becky began teaching at the dance school in 2011 aged 17 after an opportunity to assist in the running of Saturday morning classes, since that time she has taken on teaching roles in both Street dance & also fitness classes.
Becky loves teaching the varied ages and abilities these classes offer, she enjoys creating a relaxed, happy & positive atmosphere for all!
Becky has most recently moved into creating specialised wedding dance routines for couple wanting to add a little pizazz to their special day, alongside our very popular dance camps!
Hayley & Anna Simpson
Head of Children's Ballroom and Latin
Anna & Hayley are two sisters who have spent many years competing together at a high level in the all girls catagory, they have inspired many of the younger generation to dance solo or all girl within competitions on seeing their success.
They now focus their teaching time on bringing through the youth to prepare for competitions, exams & shows with a fresh prospective to traditional ballroom & Latin.
Tracey Pearson
Modern Jive teacher
Tracey started dancing at the age of 9 and competed in Ballroom and Latin in the Northern region. At the age of 16 she decided to train as an instructor and qualified as a member of the IDTA at the age of 19. She has been teaching at City Limits for 24 years. She teaches Ballroom & Latin and specialises in teaching Modern Jive and running Modern Jive nights. She also teaches private lessons and wedding couples.
